With a Master of Gerontology, Bachelor of Social Science, Certificate III in Aged Care and 13 years experience in the field, I completely understand how overwhelming and complex navigating our aged care system can feel.

 

What I’ve found across my years in aged care is that people get the best outcomes when they’re armed with a toolkit of knowledge about the aged care system and have a thought out plan of how they’d like to progress. Most ageing Australian's wish to remain in their home for as long as possible and this can be most successfully achieved when gradual support is implemented along the way.
